Acting as if - a key manifestation strategy
We live in a universe of potentials and probabilities. You in this moment is just one of infinitely many possibilities. You could be living as a very different version of yourself in a very different lifestyle and set of circumstance. You could also be living as yourself in a slightly different version of yourself with a few tweaks and changes to your lifestyle. Many call these parallel realities. Others talk about quantum jumping as a way to access these parallel realities. But the easiest way to access another probable self is to act as if you are already that person.
Seth, as channeled by Jane Roberts, gives us a lot of information on being and meeting our probable selves. Dr Joe Dispenza also talks a lot about breaking the habit of being our current self so that we can access a different and more purposeful version of who we want to be. Tony Robbins talks a lot about the fact that we need to decide who we want to be and to really step into that version of ourselves. Abraham tells us that we need to realize that everything we want is already done and so we must relax into knowing that we are already that person living with that desire.
And this all sounds amazing, but how do we go about doing this?
First you must decide who you want to be. For example, if you want to be someone who spends money without having to think about it, then you have to decide that you are already this person, now. This future version of yourself that you’re longing to become doesn’t really exist in the future. Everything exists in the present. The version of you walking along spending money without a second thought exists in the field of probabilities right now. To snap that probability into focus in the here and now, and make the current version of yourself less probable, you first have to decide that this is who you are now.
Then you must act as if you are this version of yourself. This is where people get tripped up. It seems to you that the current version of yourself can’t spend money as they wish, but that’s a perception and belief. Your bank account is not fixed. The money you have access to isn’t fixed either. You are not yet believing in the power of the universe.
Abraham has a simple exercise for acting as if for a situation like this. They recommend putting a $100 bill in your purse or wallet and walking around with the intent that you’re going to spend it and practicing choosing what you might best like to buy. To really act as if you’re the version of yourself you want to be, taking a leap of faith and spending this $100 on something you really want would truly be stepping into this probable self.
From there, celebrate being this version of yourself that you now are. Congratulate yourself on being a person who embraces and channels abundance. Express gratitude for understanding the laws of the universe and for being brave enough to experiment with jumping to various parallel realities.
To strengthen this new version of yourself, take a Tony Robbins approach of incanting who you are. Go around exclaiming “I am wealthy! My life is abundant, yes! I have everything I want and more, yes!” Do this every time you recognize the abundance in your life.
Everything comes down to where you put your focus. Where would the wanted version of you put their focus? You have to put yours there too. How would the future version of yourself feel? You have to feel that way too.
Who are you going to be today?
